As I sit here reflecting on the incredible event that came together today I’m struck by so many different thoughts. On Friday we we’re absolutely honoured and so blessed to meet Beth and the staff from Aurecon in Docklands and pick up this incredible collection of gifts. Beth had heard about our charity and organised a Christmas wishing tree where over 300 staff members donated Christmas gifts. The donations filled up our 7 seater SUV and every single one had so much thought put into it. These gifts will be given to the parents and children attending our Christmas Day lunch. I spent 9 years as a single parent and I remember how tough some of those Christmas’ were. It was so hard some years, especially not having other adults to share it with. Sharing the joy of watching kids open presents, and sitting back chatting after being stuffed full of Christmas goodness, singing Christmas Carols. All of those thing that make Christmas what it is. You will need to buy your entire table at once, or run the risk of being separated from your nearest and smartest. If you want to come and are happy to be on a mixed table, purchase the number of tix you require and we’ll pop you on a table. Tickets are $30 per person/$300 per table. We’ve got a lot of very exciting things happening at The Kala Space over the next few months, including a brand new outdoor area and cafe where we will be providing more employment opportunities for women experiencing homelessness. We can’t wait to share it all with you, however for safety reasons we’ll be holding off on our drop off days and Courtyard use until further notice. Our builders are busy coming and going and we want everyone to stay safe so please bare with us while we go through these changes. We promise they’ll be worth it in the end!
Today our Black Pack Australia team took 150 essential food and sanitary packs out Graeme and the team at the Father Bobs. We’re proud to work alongside such highly regarded organisations such as the Fr Bob Maguire foundation.
What a perfect day it was for our group meditation in The Courtyard. Our participants took part in three different meditations, set and released intentions, wrote in their journals and each received a beautiful new crystal chosen with intuition. The weather was incredible and being outside among the gorgeous plants and nature in The Courtyard made it all the more special. Our beautiful rugs kept everyone toasty warm and everyone left feeling relaxed and focussed. Thanks so much for another incredible class everyone. It was so lovely to take you through this meditation ?♀️ ?
