We are thrilled to announce that Melbourne City council tonight voted unanimously in favour of trialing free pads and tampons in council buildings. Our CEO, Donna addressed council tonight to speak of the importance of the availability of adequate menstrual hygiene care for all people in need. Thank you so much to Councillor Jamal Hakim for presenting this issue to council. What a fantastic step toward eradicating period poverty.

How incredible is this! Jude heard about our charity after listening to a Too Peas In A Podcast episode that featured our CEO Donna and decided to buy some tickets in our raffle. Jude won one of our 10 runner up vouchers of a $500 Coles Myer Group vouchers in the Food Mustang raffle. Congratulations Jude! We sent a van load of toiletries, underwear, sleeping bags and sanitary items off to CoHealth Innerspace in Collingwood yesterday. 20 sleeping bags, 40 toiletries packs, 60 bottles of shampoo and conditioner and a six dozen pairs of new underwear will all be heading out to people experiencing homelessness and hardship around Melboune. A huge thank you to everyone who donates to us and to our fantastic volunteers for putting app of these packs together. We couldn’t do it without you.

We wish we had more photos to show but we’re once again thrilled to support Launch Housings Pathways Project to provide sleeping bags and camping gear for 40 kids experiencing homelessness and disadvantage to attend camp. The kids all head off today and we’re thrilled to be able to help out with swimming gear, towels, sleeping bags, toiletries and other items. We hope the kids all have a fantastic time at camp!
