I can’t believe how lucky we are that we get to do this! At The Plate Up Project today we were so lucky to have Chef Thea come along to teach us all how to make the most incredible BBQ food and salads! We cooked scrumptious sate chicken skewers and vegan skewers plus vegetable and halloumi kebabs and made the most amazing coleslaw, vegan coleslaw and fresh garlic bread! Next of course it was time to share a meal together and eat our incredible food. Chef Thea showed us many hints ans tips with bbq cooking and our good certainly […]

On Tuesday our fearless leader (who unfortunately often forgets she is speaking on live TV) spoke to the wonderful Jo Stanley and Angela Pippos at Broad Radio about all things Period Poverty. This show also has the very funny Kitty Flanagan and some great tips from MasterChef host Andy Allen. Content warning: Mentions periods (of course) and vaginas. And just like you can’t stop period blood from flowing out of a vagina, Donna can’t stop words she probably shouldn’t be saying from flowing out of her mouth. It’s a great show! Please give it a watch here.

This photo was taken two hours ago. This is Melbourne this morning. This is happening now. Imagine this is your bed for the night. Now imagine this is your bed, but without the sleeping bag. We have freezing conditions and weather warnings all over the state but we still have people left behind sleeping out there in this blizzard. If we could house them we would. If we could get warm beds for them all we would. Sadly, we can’t do those things but what we can do is offer a sleeping bag and some warm clothing to at least […]

Melbourne we came through for our little ones during the 2020 lockdown and we need your help again. Unfortunately greater Melbourne is still in lockdown which has meant many families are suffering. We have had an urgent request from one of our larger partner organisations for infant care products. We have around 300 families to support. Sudden job loss has created unexpected financial hardship for many families and once again we are seeing the same devastating effects we witnessed in last years Melbourne lockdown. Last year we assisted thousands of families with infant care products thanks to your incredible support. […]

We are so very grateful 🙏

Melbourne’s lockdown is continuing and this morning we gave away the very last of our Period Packs and our last toiletries pack. We are desperate to get more out there for the thousands of people affected by lockdown and subsequent job loss. Last year we raised over $50,000 to help those affected by the lockdown and every cent went to support those who were isolated or had suffered job losses. We are absolutely desperate to get more help out there but we need your support to do that. Please consider donating below or checking our pinned post to see how […]
