Lockdown is hard on everyone but we have some particularly vulnerable youth aged between 13 ans 18 we are supporting. We need to make up 50 food and essential bags for youth at Richmond flats and Fitzroy. Each bag will contain essential food items such as milk, bread, pasta, pasta sauce, tuna, cereal, noodles, baked beans and soup. We will also be providing Period Packs where needed and toiletries packs to each person containing body wash, shampoo and conditioner, toothbrush, toothpaste and deodorant. This money will be user to fund Period Packs and our much needed Winter Warmwr packs to support Melbourne people through winter. Thank you so much to everyone who supports StreetSmart. Tomorrow we have two separate families to visit. Two Mama’s and their kids who have all recently fled domestic violence households and who have had to leave everything behind. We’re delivering sanitary items, clothing, toiletries (one family has severe allergies), shoes, school bags and school items, plus warm clothing and jackets, blankets, household goods and entire kitchen and linen set for one household. What a day! Our very first day of packing orders saw around 600+ recycled environmentally friendly under garments sent off to their new homes!
