As Covid continues to keep us in lockdown, so many organisations still need our help and support. Today we got the old gang together and made up 30 play bags for kids living in towers who are prevented from playing outside due to covid. Each bag has some crayons, a colouring book, a toy, a new book, some stickers and some Play Doh. Kids living in towers have to be isolated because of Covid but they don’t have backyards to play in, and with playgrounds being closed it has made it extra hard for parents and care givers to keep […]

Many of our incredible supporters have been following along as we help individual women escape and recover from domestic violence. One of those women is Lauren. The support we have received to help Lauren has been phenomenal and we wanted to give you an update. I keep in touch with Lauren and we speak regularly. She is an incredible strong woman who has rebuilt her life from the most extreme and relentless domestic violence that lasted many years. Lauren is now paying it forward and helping other victims of DV. She is amazing. This was part of our conversation today. […]

We might be close to being out of lockdown but we’re not there yet and people still need our support. Yesterday we sent 946 Nappies plus dozens of toothbrushes, toothpastes deodorants and tins did formula for families doing really tough during covid. We’re so pleased to be able to support wonderful organisations like Stevenson House. Thanks so much to Catrice and colleagues for looking after everyone during this lockdown.

Our beautiful followers, we have a very special and heartbroken little boy who needs our help. On August 1st Khaleed had to say goodby to his most beloved superhero, his little brother Jahleel. Jahleel was born with a rare brain disease called Aromatic 1 amino acid decarboxylase deficiency (AADC) and just a few days after his 4th birthday he passed away. Khaleed has lost his best friend and only sibling. He was inseparable from his little brother and put his heart and soul into helping his mum Bec care for Jahleel, and being the best big brother any little super […]

Oh wow what a week! After an unexpected extended stay in hospital we still managed to get another 60 families sorted for period packs, toiletries and Fathers Day gifts for this week! These items are all going out through Melton, Caroline Springs and Taylor’s lakes and add to the many different organisations and groups we have been assisting since the Covid Crisis right across Victoria. Huge apologies to those of you still waiting for emails and messages to be answered. We’ll get to those as soon as we can. It’s all good in the period project hood, just a small […]

Thanks to your incredibly generous donations we were able to support the Yuendumu school in the Northern Territory with dozens of items for their Senior School Fellas program. This program teaches health and hygiene essentials to the fellas and is an important part of the school program. Being so far away, the Yuendumu school wasn’t previously able to access the items they needed to successfully run the program and it was at risk of being cancelled. However, thanks to your support we were able to help the school out with more than enough items to set them up and the […]

Can we please get a huge round of applause for Melanie and the team at Market in a Box who once again have donated two incredible fruit and vegetables boxes for our families in need. Last week these wonderful people donated four fruit and vegetable boxes that we delivered all across Melbourne to the families we have been assisting and this week we received two more boxes plus a heap of tinned foods. These have now been passed on to struggling families who are so incredibly grateful to have so many fresh vegetables and fruit for their families. It’s generosity […]

Today our very super volunteer Super Simon came to pick up more wonderful donations from us then hit the roads to deliver a car load of items to people locked in their homes due to Covid. In today’s haul there was shampoo and conditioner, body wash, 200 masks, enough washing powder to get a more than a hundred families through a weeks worth of washing and a load of the coolest toys for kids who can’t go outside to play. Kids in towers who are isolating because they or a family member has covid often get bored and really need […]

So, where are they now? Many times we post about individual people we’re assisting who are facing incredible challenges through domestic violence related issues, homelessness and trauma. Every single time our supporters and followers rally together to help get these people back on their feet. Often when the person moves on we never hear back from them, but most times they stay in touch and let us know how they’re doing. Here are some short updates on a couple of the people you have helped us to assist recently 💜 🙏 Christine: “It’s amazing knowing I’m waking up each morning […]

Another day doing what we love, helping people. Today we took a special order of formula to a Mama who has a newborn and a 13mo and is on lockdown. What a super mum! We’re so pleased to support the people who rely on the incredible work Westvale community Center in Brimbank are doing. Brimbank has one of the highest cases of Covid and many people there are suffering. We’re helping out as much as we can. We’re delivering another load of formula there this afternoon ready for their by appointment community day tomorrow. Thanks to our incredible supporters we’re […]

This note is addressed to me but it is for ALL of you ❤️ A huge thank you to everyone who helped us completely furnish and equip a home for a single Mum and her daughter who were finally able to secure their own place. Bettina and her daughter had absolutely nothing to their name. They were living in crowded and uncomfortable conditions for a long time following homelessness caused by domestic violence. Thanks to our incredible fundraiser and everyone chipping in we were able to fully furnish their home with brand new furniture and buy absolutely everything they needed […]
