Food glorious festive Christmas food! We are so blessed to be supported by Richard and Mel from Market in a Box who dropped off 10 amazing fruit and vegetable hampers today. Melbourne we cannot thank you enough. We put a call out for Christmas presents for kids who will otherwise receive nothing for Christmas due to many factors such as homelessness, poverty and the devastating effects of Covid, and in just a matter of days we raised enough money to buy gifts for 100 of our target of 250 children. These toys and gifts will all be going to Stevenson House to support families in Caroline Springs, Melton and Taylor’s Lakes area. We’re a charity supporting all people experiencing homelessness, domestic abuse and disadvantage. And we support people in almost all areas of life. Included in that support is personal hygiene items. It is absolutely crucial that every person experiencing homelessness or disadvantage has access to personal hygiene items. During the pandemic lockdown we twice ran out of absolutely everything, but we managed to re stock, well, almost. We still struggle to get toothbrushes, toothpaste and deodorant.
