The Kala Space is the latest initiative from The National Homeless Collective.

In our Op Shop we employ women who are:
1. Escaping Domestic Abuse
2. Recently escaped Homelessness
3. Experiencing Homelessness
4. At risk of Homelessness.

The money from sales is used to pay these women’s wages, an important step towards independence.

The Kala Space sells great quality clothing for all genders and ages, accessories, shoes, bags and hats and aims to connect people through mind, body and spirit.

We’re an op shop, community courtyard and meditation space all in one.

Come in for a chat and see what we can do for you or how you can help us help even more people.

1000s of Toys to over 1000 Families

It was hard to keep a tally but we have a good guesstimate that we have handed out well over 2000 toys for kids in need this Christmas 🎄 Given we were aiming for the sky with our request for 250 gifts this is absolutely phenomenal. We just can’t thank you all enough. So many families are doing it tough this Christmas with many losing jobs and income security because of Covid. We’re thrilled to be able to help them out and bring some Christmas joy for them this year. We were able to fill the Christmas wish list for

This is just the beginning but we are starting to get a

NHC 2020 Christmas Appeal

Today we started our annual Christmas appeal to make sure children and families doing it tough can still enjoy Christmas this year. When we first started helping families at Christmas it was just a few gifts and vouchers to those experiencing homelessness. Now we collect and send gifts all over the country. There are still so many people and places forgotten and suffering at Christmas time. This year our first goal is to help 250 families, and our second goal is to help 250 more! We’re not a funded charity. We simply rely on the good hearts of the people
